Hi I’m Janessa! I’m an animal trainer and owner of Pawsitive Peaks Animal Training. I specialize in coaching dog owners to build an incredible relationship with their canine companion and unlock their dream life together.

Janessa’s Journey

Transforming lives through compassion and expertise.

Janessa has been a caring Registered Veterinary Technologist in the Lakeland area since 2015. While working with animals, she saw many dogs facing tough situations due to behavior problems like serve anxiety, phobias and aggression. This made her want to do more.

Driven by compassion, Janessa decided to become a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP). She wanted to learn the best ways to help animals and understand their behavior. Living with a new dog, who struggled with anxiety and feal-related aggression, motivated her even more. She wanted to make sure her dog was safe and happy.

Now, Janessa uses her skills as a Veterinary Technologist and KPA CTP to make a positive impact. Her journey reflects a commitment to continuous learning and a heartfelt mission to contribute to the well-being of our furry companions.

Janessa has the right touch. I have a service dog with extensive training. He also has severe allergies that caused some health problems. As a result he had to go the veterinarians a whole lot to have his ears checked and for injections. He started to become very anxious at the vets. Janessa worked with him in the vet setting to ease his anxiety, and give him the ability to to become comfortable and give consent when he was to be to be pricked and prodded.
